Shiva received a B.Sc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Simon Fraser University in 2000 and an LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 2003.  He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2004.

Shiva has a business law practice primarily focused in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate organization, equity and debt financings and commercial real estate transactions.  Shiva has acted for clients in a number of industries, including forestry, life sciences, technology and clean power industries. Shiva has assisted local, national and international clients in the course of his practice including both private and publicly listed companies. Shiva also assists clients with ongoing corporate and commercial matters including matters relating to corporate governance and advises on shareholder disputes and director and officer liability issues.

Shiva joined the firm in 2006 after working as an associate with a large Vancouver law firm.
