• Mercer International Inc. in connection with its US225 million acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Stone Venepal (Celgar) Pulp Inc.
   
• Terra Nova Royalty Corporation in connection with its US$220 million tender offer for all of the outstanding shares of Mass Financial Corp.
   
• Pacifica Papers Inc. in connection with its $1.0 billion merger by way of a plan of arrangement with Norske Skog Canada Limited and proxy contest and contested fairness hearing.
   
• Conifex Timber Inc. in connection with its acquisition of two British Columbia sawmills and associated timber tenures.
   
• Hillsborough Resources Limited in connection with its $38 million acquisition by Vitol Anker B.V. by way of a plan of arrangement.
